chess

The pawn
The basic piece is the pawn it can move one forward and can take diagonally.
The king
The king can move one space forwards backwards and diagonally.If this piece is taken you lose.
The Queen
The queen can move as many spaces as he wants in any direction.
The knight
The knight is the only piece that can jump over the opponents it can move two spaces in any direction and then he goes two the side one
The Bishop
The Bishop can move diagonal in any direction.
The rook
The rook can move in any direction except diagonal.
Setup
The set up is that the pawns start in the second row.The rooks start out in the corner of the board the knights go right beside the rooks.The bishops start beside the knights. The queen goes on one side of a bishop and the king goes beside the other bishop.
Winning
To win you have to kill the others person king.
strategy
The best strategy is to try to position the opponent King behind his own pieces so that he will not be able to move so you can check mate him sooner.
Castling
To castle your king and your rook must not have moved before they castle to castle you move the king towards the the rook two squares and the rook goes on the other side of the king.
